Donald Trump was born and raised in New York City. He was the fourth of five children in his family. Trump went to school in New York City until he was 13. Next he went to high school at a military school.
After high school, Donald Trump went to college in Pennsylvania. He studied real estate. Trump graduated college in 1968. He went to work for his father building and renting apartments. In 1971, Trump headed the family business.
In 1978, Donald Trump began building skyscrapers in New York City. Over the years, Trump has bought golf courses. Trump ran beauty pageants. Trump also made a TV show called The Apprentice.
Donald Trump was married three times. With his first wife, he had three children. With his second wife, he had one child. With his third wife, he had one son. The oldest four children are now adults. They help run the Trump Organization.
In June of 2015, Donald Trump said he wanted to be president. By July, 2016, Trump became the candidate of the Republican Party. On November 8, 2016, Donald J. Trump was elected president.
Donald Trump was sworn in as president on January 20, 2017.
During his presidency, a pandemic swept the whole world, especially the United States. Also, Donald Trump is the only President to be impeached two times. Impeach means to be officially accused of doing wrong things.
