The Asiatic golden cat is a medium sized wild cat. It is about twice the size of a regular cat. The Asiatic golden cat is a very beautiful cat. It has a lovely golden coat. It can be found in Asia. It also lives in Nepal and Southern China. When this cat lives in warm regions its coat is pale. But if it is living in the cold mountains, its coat becomes spotted and striped. This is called adapting to its environment. This helps protect it from other animals that want to eat it.

This kind of cat is a wild cat. It likes to keep to itself. This is called living a solitary life. It may mark its territory or area with its scent. It does this by rubbing its fur along the grass or peeing on the ground. The Asiatic golden cat is not very active unless it is hunting for food. It is a carnivorous cat. This means it eats the meat of other animals.

There are about 10,000 Asiatic golden cats in the world. That seems like a big number but it is not. This animal is in danger of dying out. Then it will be extinct.
